Can I install it right now?

Release packages are currently in preparation. Once verified, download buttons for Windows, macOS, and Linux will be activated on this page.

How do I get started on Windows, macOS, and Linux?

Detailed installer downloads and Linux npm package setup instructions will be published upon release.

Does the GitHub source match the installable version?

Currently, the public GitHub repository reflects previous builds. Source code and release tags for Beta 0.2.0 will be synchronized simultaneously with verified installers.

Can I connect my current AI tools?

Yes. Any AI tool supporting MCP (Model Context Protocol), such as Claude Desktop or Cursor, can connect to dtxWiki to find, read, and propose changes within permitted scopes.

Does Chats record entire chat conversations?

No. Chats does not store raw dialogue logs. It only records tool execution steps performed on dtxWiki, such as searching, reading, and editing Context.

Where is my data stored, and what is sent externally?

dtxWiki can run in your own self-managed environment. When you connect external AI providers, only content within your explicitly permitted scope is sent to that AI service.

Can I use it with my team?

Yes. Teams can share and collaborate on the same knowledge base. Specific collaboration features such as invitations and access controls will be outlined in the release notes.

Can I use dtxWiki for commercial purposes? (Cost & License)

Yes. dtxWiki is free, open-source software licensed under Apache-2.0. You are free to use it for personal, academic, and commercial purposes with no software licensing fees.

Are there features still in preparation for Beta?

Yes. Surfaces labeled 'Preview' are continuously evolving. The core focus of this Beta is accumulating knowledge in Context, collaborating with AI, and auditing tool actions in Chats.
